Blob Animals

New blob animals! I'm so excited about these "Art of Silliness" from Carla Sonheim at http://carlasonheim.wordpress.com. I did this two blob cats on Sunday morning. One of the cats is digging after a mouse, but the mouse is very smart and escaped... look how.

Blob Animals

Today I started with drawing from Carla Sonheims http://carlasonheim.wordpress.com Free Mini Book "Ye Olde Book of Blobs. Here are two blob - creatures from my Sketchbook:
I printed her free ebook out and riped these two blobs out. I glued them on a journal page I prepared a few weeks ago with gesso and blue acrylic paint. Than I used water color and a water-resistant black sharpie to figure my creatures out.

It was a great fun to paint these little animals. I've got two books form Carla: "The Drawing Lab" and "The Art Of Silliness". Since I have these books I'm more often painting and drawing than the last two decades. Thank you Carla for pushing me froward.

Summer blooms

In the last few days I was out in my garden and in the surrounding of our house to take some pictures of all the very beautiful summer blooms. It's awesome what a variety is out there. I can't get enough of this....
Be inspired ...

Gelli Arts Gel Printing Plate

Finally it arrived!

I ordered this Gel Printing Plate at http://www.interweavestore.com because in Germany I couldn't get one. So I waited at least about 3 weeks for my Printing Plate. I'm really happy to have it. It is so much easier to make a mono print at any time I want to. My Gelatin Plates always broke after a few days and to make a new took me at least a hole day.
I have very little space to myself to be creative and I am glad to save room through the Printing Pate. It spares me a refrigerator for the gelatin.
